Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Watch Move on Monday, April 21, which is said to be its first locally manufactured smartwatch in India.
According to the Chinese electronics giant, the Redmi Watch Move aims to tackle key issues such as durability in the smartwatch market, display quality, and accuracy in health tracking features.
It is designed for users looking for affordable fitness and wellness tracking features, as well as smart task management and hands-free communication. Therefore, the price of the Redmi Watch Move is set at ₹1,999.

Its chipset includes Xiaomi's dual-core processor, which enables it to handle complex tasks and ensures a smooth user experience. Redmi Watch Move comes with an always-on display feature for users who want the time and essential updates to always be visible. However, it does not automatically adjust according to ambient light.
Xiaomi also mentioned that its strap is made of TPU material, which is different from the standard silicone material used in other smartwatches.
The company stated that the anti-allergy, anti-bacterial strap is designed for all-day wear.
Both straps can be quickly detached from the smartwatch body by pressing the two buttons located underneath it, allowing users to easily switch the straps in and out.
The company said it will soon release standalone straps in different colours.
Currently, the Redmi Watch Move is available in Black Drift, Blue Blaze, Silver Sprint, and Gold Rush.In terms of connectivity, the newly launched smartwatch is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS, meaning it can sync notes, tasks, calendar events, and even real-time weather updates with Redmi smartphones and other Xiaomi devices running the same software.
The device also supports the Hindi language, although the company has not specified a timeline for support for other Indian languages like Kannada or Telugu.
The Redmi Watch Move health features include over 140 workout modes in the smartwatch, which encompass training exercises such as combat sports and yoga, as well as card and board games like chess.
The company stated that users can also track their menstrual cycle to better understand and manage their overall health.
According to Xiaomi, these tracking features are 98.5 percent accurate. It states, "Users can track heart rate, SpO2, stress, and sleep cycles - including REM - which provides in-depth information about health during both day and night."
It has a spinning crown with haptic response for easy navigation and scrolling through apps and alerts. The device is IP68 rated, meaning it is protected against dust and water.
In terms of battery life, the Redmi Watch Move has a 300 mAh battery that guarantees up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge.
The company stated that even with the always-on display enabled, the watch provides up to five days of performance.
Xiaomi further mentioned that a 10-minute charge can guarantee two days of performance.
