Freeman amazed again! He ended the thrilling 18-inning game with a walk-off home run.

Los Angeles – This was not a walk-off grand slam with an extra inning like last year. But for Freddie Freeman, it was another spectacular ending to an exciting conclusion of the World Series.

Freeman's homer off lefty Brendan Little in the 18th inning of Game 3 secured the Dodgers' 6-5 victory over the Blue Jays. The game tied Game 3 from 2018 – also at Dodger Stadium – which became the longest game in the history of the Fall Classic.

The Dodgers won a game that lasted 6 hours and 39 minutes, which was as entertaining as it was exhausting. Powered by Shohei Ohtani's outstanding performance, they took a 2-1 lead in this Fall Classic.

When a best-of-seven postseason series is tied 1-1, the team that wins Game 3 has won the series 70 out of 101 times (69.3%). In the current 2-3-2 format series that are tied 1-1, teams that win Game 3 at home have won the series 29 out of 48 times (60.4%).

A lot happened in Game 3 besides Ohtani.

Six runners were seen getting out on the bases, including several plays at home plate – Dodgers' first baseman Freeman was caught at second base by a beautiful throw from right fielder Edinson Vargar, and the Jazz's pinch-runner Davis Schneider was caught in the upper part of tenth base by a brilliant relay from right fielder Teoscar Hernandez to second baseman Tommy Edman and then to catcher Will Smith.

There was also a unique pick-off that you may have never seen before, as both batter Dalton Varsho and runner Bo Bichette were confused by home plate umpire Mark Wegner's slow strike signal on a 3-1 pitch. Bichette, thinking it was a walk, started advancing toward second base and was picked off at first base by pitcher Tyler Glasnow.
