The FBI has launched an investigation into Harvey Wainstein's cinematic tycoon, following a decision by the US Department of Justice.
Although it is not known whether the ministry of justice's mandate comes directly from Minister Jeff Sesion, this move can be considered a political move, given the friendship of Wainstein with Donald Trump's political opponent, Hillary Clinton.
This measure was taken amid rumors that Wainstein planned to go to Europe at a Swiss treatment center for sexual and behavioral problems, causing the authorities to fear a repeat of a situation similar to Roman Polansky, who escaped from the US to avoid the persecution.
However, the 65-year-old filmmaker seems to have changed his mind at the last minute and decided to travel to Arizona for treatment at The Meadows Center.
Wainstein has financed large amounts of Clinton's election campaign. She said she was shocked by the charges of sexual harassment and rape against the tycoon and said she would return the money.
And the New York police ordered an investigation to be carried out against Wainstein.
