Poll: 65% of Americans believes that Trump has done "little or nothing"

A year after his election to the White House, two thirds of Americans believe that Donald Trump has "little" or "nothing", according to a poll published Sunday.

At the same time, the investigation of alleged collusion campaign with Russia continues to poison the chair.

According to this survey of newspaper Washington Post and the television network ABC News, 59% of respondents disapproves the proceedings of the US President, who was elected on November 8, 2016 and took office on 20 January, while only 37% of the approve.

This is the worst performance of a president at this stage of his term in recent US history, the Post notes.

For 65% of people who answered the questions, the billionaire Republican has not done rather than "little or nothing", although he constantly boast of his achievements. The views are negative in any sector: the economy (53%), despite the positive indicators for the health care system (70%), which failed to pass any reform, or even to deal with the terrorist threat (55% ), some 24 hours after the deadly attack Tuesday in New York.

Even for the tax reform announced this week and is considered by many the most emblematic measure of his term, the opinions expressed were negative by half of respondents.

In 53% of Americans, the leading US role in the world weakened on the Trump days.

Conversely, 58% of respondents praised the way in which the special prosecutor Robert Mahler conducts research on the Partnership on suspicion of election campaign of Donald Trump with Russia before the presidential election.

This research has accelerated the indictment on 30 October against three former executives of mogul property group, including the former director of the Paul Manafort campaign.

The case continues to overshadow the president of Trump. The television network NBC News reported Sunday, citing several sources close to the investigation, that now "have gathered sufficient evidence" to be indicted on Michael Flynn, former national security adviser to the White House.

The Flynn was expelled very quickly because concealed information about his contacts with Russian officials during election campaign. The researchers also pass through the sieve activity as a lobbyist, mainly on behalf of Turkey.

Commenting on the developments in research, Trump reiterated once again his denial that there was any "partnership with Russia."

The head of the democratic minority in the House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi told CNN that it considers a priority of President referral, even in case of victory of democracy in the midterm elections to renew the Congress at a time.

"We have the responsibility, above all, to unite the country," said Pelosi, and stressed that the investigation has not revealed specific evidence against the Trump itself.
