What income thresholds the government wants to set for the dividend

Widespread income limits, in relation to Social Solidarity Income, seek to put the government in this year's dividend, but the Institutions have not yet turned green.

For "income criteria, such as those received by the JSB and some with higher incomes," the minister of finance's high-ranking minister, iefimerida, said that this year's government is seeking to receive the dividend as an allowance. Right now, the KEA's beneficiaries are estimated at around 630,000 our fellow citizens living in absolute poverty.

It is indicative that the income limits are as follows:

1. Single person household, 1,200 euros
2. Household consisting of two adult members or one-parent family with a minor member, 1,800 euros
3. Household consisting of two adults and one minor or one-parent family with two minors, 2,100 euros
4. For a household consisting of three adult members or two adults and two minor members or a single parent family with three minors, EUR 2,400
5. For a household consisting of three adults and one minor or two adults and three minor members or a single parent family with four minor members, EUR 2,700
6. For a household consisting of four adult members or two adults and four minor members or a single parent family with five minor members, EUR 3,000.
7. From the above it can be concluded that even if the income criteria are slightly higher, the beneficiaries will remain in the poor households' area. Note that the poverty threshold is set by ELSTAT at € 4,500 per person and € 9,450 for a four-member family.

Speaking last night at ERT, E. Tsakalotos said the dividend would be twice as high as last year and at least 1.1 billion euros, arguing that there is agreement on size and distribution. However, a few hours earlier, a high-ranking EU official has suggested that the issue has not been closed and that it will be settled definitively with the return of the Institutions at the end of November.
