C. MATARELLIS & CO. Through this movement, Plomari's Beverage Company strengthens its product portfolio and, of course, its position on both the supermarket shelf and the mass catering sector.
Specifically, on December 28, the Board of Directors of Plomari Beekeeping, Isidoros Arvanitis, decided the merger by absorption of Ch. MATARELLIS and SIA OE, by Plomari Beekeeping Isidoros Arvanitis SA, with a transformation balance date on 31.12.2016. Nowadays, Plomari Beekeeping Isidoros Arvanitis, number two player in the supermarket market after private label products, is also promoting the brand "The Dekaraki" Tsipouro Tirnavos. The company also participates in the company "VIAMON SA" (participation percentage of 76,95%), which has real estate property, the exploitation of which will be considered in the future, as stated in its financial statements.
The total revenues of the company in the previous year amounted to € 12,214,722, compared to € 11,119,375 (an increase of 9.85%), total expenditure amounted to € 11,848,316 from € 10,737,535 in 2015 (an increase of 10.34 %), turnover amounted to € 12,063,767 from € 10,830,636 which was in 2015 (an increase of 11.39%), while net earnings before tax amounted to € 366.406 against profits of € 381,840 that were in use in 2015 4.04%).
With regard to its shelf position in the eight-month period and the trend in consumption of ouzo, according to figures from consumption measurement companies, the market declined 7.8% in value to 11.6 million euros with sales of Beekeeping Isidoros Arvanitis to have dropped 13.3%. At the sales volume, the ouzo market fell 10.6%, while Isidoros Arvanitis's sales were down 15.2%.
