What risk who eat breakfast alone

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the omission has serious health effects.

Equally dangerous for health, it seems to be the habit of taking one's own breakfast.

Researchers from the University Dongskuk Ilsan Seoul South Korea studied 7,725 adults and found that those who "get" their own breakfast at greater risk of obesity, but also development of symptoms of metabolic syndrome such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

The researchers also studied the loneliness-health relationship in both men and women and found that men had a higher risk of developing health problems.

Specifically, men who ate breakfast alone had 45% increased risk of developing obesity-while the corresponding risk for women remained relatively idios- and 64% for developing metabolic syndrome, while women just 29%.

The researchers took into account other lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, age and working conditions.

Women showed a risk increase of 29% for developing metabolic syndrome, although only ate breakfast once or twice a week, but reduced rate when tested in combination with their lifestyle.

Previous studies have found that loneliness increases the chances someone to adopt unhealthy eating habits.
