Alzheimer: What is the symptoms of the disease? 10 Years - Attention

If you think memory loss is the first sign of Alzheimer's, then you are wrong ...
According to new research, the first sign is the weakening of smell!

In particular, researchers at the Massachusetts General Hospital have developed a method that can determine the risk of the disease occurring in a person based on their ability to recognize and remember odors.

Although the smell of smell had previously been examined as a symptom of Alzheimer's Disease, the present study of the American scientific team for the first time provides evidence that it actually "predicts" the onset of the disease, many years before the onset of memory loss.

According to Dr Mark Albers, head of the scientific team, weakening of smell can be detected in the patient until ... a decade before he begins to forget faces and things.

"More and more research suggests that neurodegeneration behind Alzheimer's begins at least 10 years before the symptoms of memory loss," he says.
